Student Life

Student life at Immaculate Heart Central schools is rich and varied. In addition to the academic and spiritual programs, IHC has a wide variety of extracurricular, service, and athletic programs, and hosts multiple social events throughout the year.

IHC’s broad extra-curricular program encompasses the varied interests of our students. Like everything at IHC, the primary purpose of our extracurricular programs is the development of a Christian character and personality which prepare the students to take their place in society. Activities include the National Honor Society, Quiz Team, Forensic Team, Performing Arts Club, Art Club, Photography Club, Foreign Language Club, Variety Show, Yearbook, Class Officers, Student Leadership, and Mystery Players.

The Junior/Senior High School’s Faith Community Service Program and Respect Life Initiative, and our Elementary School’s 4th grade Servants’ Hearts Club, are the primary activities for student community service, though there are additional opportunities that arise throughout each school year.

IHC’s competitive athletic program is a proud part of the school’s heritage. We currently have fourteen boys’ and girls’ varsity teams, as well as junior varsity and modified teams.

IHC hosts a variety of student social events throughout the year, most prominently the Homecoming, Winter Ball, and Prom dances. There are also dances for the Junior High school, as well as numerous social events tied to other extracurricular and student activities.
