Coach Courtney Roberts Tryon joins the Immaculate Heart Central coaching staff as the Head Coach of the Boys JV Basketball Team and the Assistant Coach of the Boys Varsity Team. 

Her love of the game began when she was just five years old as a student at Sacred Heart School. Coach Jeff St. Croix taught her that learning the fundamentals at a young age would translate into a successful high school career. Courtney was a core member of Immaculate Heart Central's New York State Championship Team (2004), Team Captain (2005), Frontier League All Star (2005), a member of the Frontier League MVP Team (2005), the New York State Section 3 Second Team All Star (2005), and lead her team to the Section 3 Class C Championship (2005). 

After high school, Courtney chose to continue her love of the game with many great local athletes at Jefferson Community College. In her freshman year she was a starting member of the team. That season her team competed in the NJCAA Region III Championship game (2006). She later returned to Jefferson Community College for the 2008-2009 season as the Women's Assistant Coach. 

Courtney's passion for the game grew when her daughter first found the love of the game. She was easily able to transition into coaching because of the great role models she had throughout her own successful career. She is able to follow in their footsteps by teaching the fundamentals, basketball IQ, commitment, and teamwork. Her love for coaching still carries on now as she volunteers to coach her son within our youth boys basketball program.

Coach Tryon has been involved in many different organizations and has started a solid foundation with coaching the fundamentals to our youth. Her favorite of them all is being a part of the IHC Youth Sports Committee and rebuilding our basketball program from the ground up. Her love for the game and her unforgettable memories as a Cavalier is what drives her today.

"Returning home to the place that gave me the foundation I have built my life on is an incredible experience. I look forward to the future of the Immaculate Heart Central Basketball program. My goal is to hang another State Championship banner in our gym. I am dedicated to giving the next generation of young athletes the unforgettable memories and experiences that accompany success. I will always bleed blue."
