Dear IHC Community,
Immaculate Heart Central was notified by Jefferson County Public Health of a positive case of COVID-19 affecting a student at the elementary school. The student has not been in attendance since before the holiday break; thus, there is no risk of exposure to students or staff. As per our reopening plan, we will keep our community informed of all cases involving IHC students or staff.
Immaculate Heart Central continues to follow the policies and procedures provided by the New York State Department of Health and will continue to work closely with the Jefferson County Department of Public Health. Social distancing protocols and disinfecting measures continue to be in place. As much as Immaculate Heart Central is attempting to be transparent in this matter, we are faced with the competing privacy rights of our students and staff. Immaculate Heart Central is not permitted to release any additional information.
As always, we appreciate your continued support and understanding. We will continue to work together to ensure the safety of our students and staff as we move forward.
Sincerely,
Daniel Charlebois
Principal, PreK-12
