IHC Youth Sports
IHC Youth Sports is a committee of parent volunteers who are excited about growing and promoting youth soccer, basketball, and lacrosse opportunities at IHC. Great things happen when we choose to work together to promote our school, our young athletes, and celebrate the gifts within our IHC community.

FALL SOCCER
Youth soccer opportunities are available for students in JK - 6th grade. Registration OPENS on or around August 1st. Student athletes / families must communicate league play interest by September 1st. IHC Youth Sports is not able to adjust registration deadlines for YMCA league play.
2024 - 2025: 85+ Student Athletes | 9 Teams
What can my child expect?
Fall:
- The Fall is dedicated to Skills & Drills. Each division will train together weekly outdoors on our beautiful athletic fields.
Winter:
- We will play in the YMCA indoor league in the Winter I session. U6 - U8 are co-ed | U10 & U12 are divided by gender. All divisions register by birth year. YMCA League Registration: approximately $100 for each session. Players may be required to purchase a jersey and shorts.
Special Events:
- Season kick off - mass and pancake breakfast, NEW in 2025 - painting and updating the kickboard, participation in the Varsity Pink Out Games (Opening Ceremonies & Half-Time Scrimmage), end of season - Parents vs Players!
WINTER BASKETBALL
Youth basketball opportunities are available for students in K - 6th grade. Registration OPENS on or around November 1st.
2024 - 2025: 75+ Student Athletes | 5 Teams
K-2:
- Co-ed Skills & Drills will be held weekly for 8 sessions from mid-January - March (Date / Time TBD).
3-6:
- In 2024 - 2025 IHC Youth Sports created our own in-house league. This will continue for the 2025 - 2026 (Date / Time TBD)! The divisions (3/4 & 5/6) are divided by gender. League Registration: FREE. Players may be required to purchase a jersey and shorts.
Special Events:
- Season kick off - mass and pancake breakfast, local "Celebrity" Basketball Series, "Community Day" at Jefferson Community College, "March Madness" game for the 5th & 6th graders, end of season Youth Hoops Throwdown Basketball Tournament
SPRING LACROSSE
Youth lacrosse opportunities are available for students in K - 6th grade. Registration OPENS on or around March 1st.
2024 - 2025: 75+ Student Athletes | 6 Teams
Girls:
- K-2 Division: Will practice regularly and participate in play dates with local schools, as scheduled by coaching staff.
- 3/4 and 5/6 Division: Will play in the Patriots Lacrosse League (Monday Nights). League Registration: FREE for my athlete thanks to the fundraising opportunities of IHC Youth Sports; Committee Members, Coaches, Families, and Athletes. Players may be required to purchase a jersey and shorts.Boys:
- K-2, 3/4 and 5/6 Division: Will play in the 1812 Lacrosse League (Wednesday Nights). League Registration: FREE for my athlete thanks to the fundraising opportunities of IHC Youth Sports; Committee Members, Coaches, Families, and Athletes. Players may be required to purchase a jersey and shorts.
Special Events:
- Season kick off - mass and pancake breakfast, end of season picnic at Thompson Park
